The simplicity and joy of weaving on a counterbalance loom doesn't compare to anything else. The single set of lamms under the loom has plenty of room for movement (no conflicting with a 2nd set of lamms as on the countermarch). In a counterbalance tie-up the heddles are always taut and the shafts never sag, which treats your warp threads as gently as possible. For the best results, always center everything possible. A narrow warp might require our "shaft bras" to keep shaft bars level.
