Loom extension

The Myrehed loom extension is bolted to the back of a Glimåkra Standard before the drawloom attachment is place on top. The extension increases the depth of the loom (between 1 and 3 feet), allowing space for the pattern shafts and the increased weaving tension required for damask and fine threads. An additional bonus is the added room to work when threading heddles at the back of the loom! The extension can be adjusted as required to add more or less distance between the breast and warp beams and also provides the option to adjust the back beam vertically, to optimize operation of the damask shed.
