Our Swedish cottons, also commonly referred to as "Egyptian cotton," are made from a long staple cotton, which is smooth and soft, and has a beautiful sheen. The long fibers in combination with the perfect amount of twist make this yarn and absolute joy to work with. The threads are strong yet supple, which is the perfect combination for a perfectly behaved warp. We have many sets of napkins as well as tablecloths in constant use in our dining room at Vävstuga that still look perfectly fresh after hundreds of washings.
